Last updated 26th February 2008 If your electricity is off for more than 18 hours, the Guaranteed Standards of Service set by the regulator, Ofgem, entitle you to claim a compensation payment of at least £50 from EDF, the local supplier. (This may be different from the company you pay the bills to, who are your electricity provider).
